Bulletin Announcements:

  • The Session rejoices to pass on the congregation the following request for prayer:

On Saturday, February 13, Ben Gordon was "taken under the care of the Presbytery of Philadelphia, with a view to his ordination to the Gospel ministry." What this means is that Ben is beginning to formally prepare to be a minister under the formal oversight of the Presbytery. What does this oversight look like? First and foremost he has the Session to oversee him. This means that we will be, from time to time, speaking to him personally to see how he is doing, praying for and with him regularly, and encouraging him. Second, Pastor Fox has been asked by the Presbytery to personally do the same things as a representative of the Presbytery on a one to one level and monitor his devotional and seminary life and his ministry related activities.

For Ben's part, he will be required to give regular written reports to the Presbytery’s Candidates and Credential Committee, reporting on his progress and activity while he is in seminary.

As Ben's brothers and sisters in Christ this is an opportunity to support him in prayer and by encouraging him whenever we get the opportunity. He will initially be living in the DC area. Write to him when you get the chance, let him know you love and are praying for him. Keep in touch on Facebook and by email. Here is our opportunity to join in a very positive project and enjoy what God does in Ben’s and our lives. May God give our brother the gift of glorious growth in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The Ephesians Study will continue this Wednesday at 7 PM in room 3.
  • Please join us for our Fellowship Lunch following the morning service.
